Plant and Equipment
Based at Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, the company moved to a purpose built 300 m2 factory in 1988 and in 1999 extended this to its current size of 1025 m2.
When you're designing, manufacturing or maintaining equipment, the last thing you want is to be held up by the lack of the right components. Not having the correct compression springs to hand, for example, could create unnecessary delays.
If your springs are not of the very highest quality, then you also compromise the performance of your own product.
Investment in machinery and skills is focused upon improving our capacity, efficiency, and quality in the manufacture of compression springs. In 2006 Ashfield Springs introduced a modern apprentice scheme and we now have a workforce of 22 employees.
